    Bridgerton Screenwriter Joy C. Mitchell in Berlin

    Joy C. Mitchell is a Los Angeles-born, Europe-based TV writer and producer who worked on the first season of the Netflix drama series Bridgerton and several other Amazon and Sundance Productions. Joy taught 24 students at the Max-Bill-Schule in Berlin about the job of a screenwriter, the differences of film productions between Germany, US and UK and how to write a screenplay, what needs to be considered for scenes and dialogues. The students were more than excited and interested, especially as Bridgerton is such a Hit on Netflix and in their generation!

    Author Esther Yi in Bonn

    From March 20 to 21, 2024, Esther Yi conducted a two-day workshop at Marie-Kahle-Gesamtschule in Bonn. Esther Yi is the renowned author of „Y/N,“ a distinguished Finalist for the 2023 Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, a New York Times Book Review Notable Book of 2023, a New Yorker Best Book of 2023 (Essential Read), and a TIME Must-Read Book of 2023.     Author and Journalist Michael Meyer in Cologne

    Michael Meyer is the author of „A Dirty, Filthy Book: Sex, Scandal, and One Woman’s Fight in the Victorian Trial of the Century“ and a Holtzbrinck Fellow of the Class of Spring 2024 at the American Academy in Berlin. He taught a workshop at Trude-Herr-Gesamtschule Köln-Mülheim on March 19, 2024. Impressions from the workshop can be found here.

    Victoria Belim in Frankfurt/Main and Leipzig in October 2023

    Author, journalist, and translator Victoria Belim led two workshops in Frankfurt/Main and Leipzig. Originally from Ukraine, Victoria spent her formative years in the USA before relocating to Brussels, Belgium. Her debut book, „The Rooster House,“ a memoir chronicling her Ukrainian family’s experiences, was published by Virago and has been translated into sixteen languages.
