Authors at School is an Educational Program by Holtzbrinck Berlin and is kindly supported by the U.S. Embassy in Berlin and the AmerikaHaus NRW e.V.

Authors at School brings Creative Writing workshops to schools nationwide and uses cultural education to encourage skills such as solidarity, empathy and creativity.

Our project combines teaching in the native language English with the joy of literature and thereby supports transatlantic relations and exchange.

The Creative Writing Workshops offer German students the chance to get to know U.S. authors at eye level. Due to the diversity of the topics and the different identities of the authors, the students naturally come together with strong role models for different lifestyles and enter a personal, transatlantic dialogue.
