Creative writing is an exploration of one’s own experiences. The creative and confident use of words and language helps to give expression and meaning to one’s own world.

Various exercises for constructing characters not only help with storytelling, but at the same time train the ability to adopt, question and understand different perspectives.

The Creative Writing Workshops offer students the chance to meet U.S. authors at eye level. Due to the diversity of the topics and the different identities of the authors, the students naturally come together with role models for different lifestyles and enter into a personal, transatlantic dialogue.
